Wrestlers earn rankings

CHAMPAIGN — Amateur Wrestling News selected five Illinois wrestlers for its preseason rankings.
Sophomore Jordan Blanton and senior John Dergo are the highest-ranked Illini, each No. 11 in their respective weight classes. Blanton and Dergo are swapping classes this season, with Dergo moving up to 184 pounds and Blanton dropping to 174.
Other ranked Illini include senior Patrick Bond, 13th at 197; junior Ryan Prater, 14th at 141; and sophomore B.J. Futrell, 17th at 125.
