Bizzarri, Meacham honored

CHAMPAIGN — Junior track standout Angela Bizzarri and senior basketball player Trent Meacham represented Illinois on the Big Ten Sportsmanship team.
The two were selected from the school’s individual event winners from the 2008-09 season.
A six-time All-American, Bizzarri won the 5,000 meters at the Big Ten and NCAA Mideast Regional meets and enters the NCAA Championships as the top seed.
Meacham, a Champaign native, ranked second in the Big Ten in three-point field goal percentage (42.1) last season.

Bizzarri, Ziegler selected. Bizzarri and senior Jackie Ziegler were named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District team, which was announced Thursday by the College Sports Information Directors of America.
Bizzarri was selected on the first team, and Ziegler earned second-team honors. Bizzarri is eligible to receive Academic All-America honors.
