CHAMPAIGN – The Illinois soccer team failed to find the back of the net Sunday in a 1-0 soccer loss to Wisconsin.
The Badgers, who had lost seven straight against Illinois (5-5-3) dating back to 2002, got the winner from Laurie Nosbusch in the 60th minute.

CHAMPAIGN – After playing three consecutive five-set matches, the No. 12 Illinois volleyball team made quick work of Indiana on Saturday night at Huff Hall.
CHAMPAIGN – The No. 12 Illinois volleyball team rallied for a five-set victory against Purdue on Friday night behind a record-tying blocking performance by Johannah Bangert and 32 digs by Ashley Edinger.
"Johannah Bangert and Ashley Edinger were a big reason why we pulled it out," Illini coach Kevin Hambly said after the 24-26, 25-21, 24-26, 25-18, 15-9 Big Ten triumph at Huff Hall. "I felt they won that fifth set for us in the end. Ashley was everywhere making plays. I just thought those two really carried us in the fifth set."
Pair will begin singles play in California on Tuesday
Illini, Hoosiers play to draw in soccer
CHAMPAIGN – Freshman Shayla Mutz scored a pair of goals and Christina Sahly also connected as the Illinois soccer team closed out its nonconference slate with a 3-1 victory against Milwaukee.
The Illini (5-3-1) open Big Ten play next Sunday when they host Minnesota.
