ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Third-seeded Dennis Nevolo of Illinois edged seventh-seeded Even King of Michigan 7-6 (5), 7-6 (4) to advance to the semifinals of the ITA Midwest Regional Championships on Sunday.
“It was a well-fought, close match,” Illini coach Brad Dancer said. “There was some great shot making and a lot of back forth, so I’m proud of the way Dennis hung in there and weathered the storm. He did a great job managing himself.”
