Pairings for the fourth Shootout at the Hall will be announced Friday morning on IlliniHQ.com, in The News-Gazette and on radio stations WDWS 1400-AM and WHMS 97.5-FM.
The seven-game, 14-team event will feature:
— Illinois recruits Tracy Abrams, Jereme Richmond, Meyers Leonard and Crandall Head (injured).
— Illinois targets Quincy Miller, Chasson Randle, James Siakam and DeJuan Marrero
— Defending state champion Centennial and 2008 Final Four team Champaign Central
This much we know:
— Tickets go on sale Monday, Nov. 9. Prices are $10 for general admission, $5 for students and $15 for seats on the floor. Re-entry is allowed. Parking is free courtesy the Champaign County Sports Commission.
—LUCAS THURMAN, executive director of the Champaign County Sports Commission, and State Farm's JOE STOVALL will talk about the IlliniHQ Shootout at the Hall on Friday on WDWS and WHMS. Thurman and Stovall will be on WDWS at 8:15 a.m. with STEVIE JAY. They will appear on the WHMS during "Mike in the Morning" at 8:30. And they will return to the studio for a 5:30 p.m. appearance on "Sportstalk." BRIAN MOLINE is hosting the show in place of STEVE KELLY, who is traveling to Minnesota for Saturday's football game. Thurman and Stovall will discuss the pairings and DERON WILLIAMS' involvement in the event.
