Proviso West receiver Kyle Prater is making an official visit to Illinois this weekend.

The News-Gazette All-State Player of the Year candidate earlier made a commitment to Southern Cal. But he is reportedly wavering, with Illinois, Notre Dame and Oklahoma among the schools in contention.

Before he can visit Illinois, Prater and the Panthers have a Class 8A playoff game tonight against Chicago Taft. Proviso West is coached by former Illini Famous Hulbert.

Prater is rated the nation's No. 2 player overall by Rivals.com. Scout.com lists him No. 14 overall.
