WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – No. 6 Illinois extended its winning streak to nine – its longest during the Big Ten race since 1992 – with a 25-21, 25-19, 25-14 victory against Purdue on Saturday.
Laura DeBruler and Michelle Bartsch each had 10 kills while hitting over .300 for the Illini.
Illinois (18-3, 10-2 Big Ten) finished with its fourth-highest hitting percentage of the season, .347.
The Illini had 44 kills in 95 swings while limiting their hitting errors to 11.
Libero Ashley Edinger led Illinois in digs with 12, and middle blocker Johannah Bangert contributed four block assists.
