Search YouTube for: Steve Stricker for birdie @ 10 2009 President's Cup

If there is any question that Tiger Woods' playing partner more than carried his share of the load at the Presidents Cup last weekend, this clip should dispel such doubts. Here, Stricker is shown capping a remarkable birdie flurry with a long putt on No. 10 during the Fourball round on Saturday. At that point, the former Illini had six birdies in an eight-hole span (an NBC announcer tells viewers it was six in 10; true enough, but this birdie binge actually was even more impressive than that). Stricker's performance carried the U.S. duo to a comfortable 4 and 2 victory against their International team opponents. One NBC announcer got a particular kick out of Stricker's self-effacing, arms-extended shrug as he walked off the 10th hole, repeatedly likening it to the famous Michael Jordan shrug during the 1992 NBA Finals after the Bulls great sank his sixth three-pointer of the first half against the Trail Blazers. Stricker's Jordan-like gesture occurred as he was greeted by Greg Norman, who gave Woods' partner a hearty congratulatory hug.
