Which non-seniors leap to the NBA? Where will the top uncommitted prospects go? These are some of the questions considered by beat writer Paul Klee as he put together an (extremely) early Top 10 for 2009-10:

1. Kansas

If Sherron Collins and Cole Aldrich return – and Xavier Henry signs – KU belongs here

2. Michigan State

NCAA runner-up returns five of top six scorers, led by Big Ten POY Kalin Lucas

3. Villanova

Too high? We don't think so; Three gutsy guards are joined by three top-25 recruits

4. North Carolina

NCAA champs reload but with questions at point guard when Ty Lawson leaps to NBA

5. Syracuse

Assuming Jonny Flynn ignores NBA, Sweet 16 qualifier returns entire playing rotation

6. Purdue

Redshirting guard John Hart is a shooter, and veteran Boilers return top four scorers

7. USC

Coach Tim Floyd is back, for now; If players follow suit, this is too low for the Trojans

8. Duke

Thirty-win team returns at least four starters, but we expect Gerald Henderson to go pro

9. Xavier

Indiana transfer Jordan Crawford to be eligible; Look for Chris Mack to succeed Sean Miller

10. Kentucky

This is assuming No. 1 overall prospect John Wall, a 6-4 highlight reel, commits to UK

Five considered for Top 10: Wake Forest, Washington, UCLA, Gonzaga, Florida

KY? I thought they changed coaches, not rosters.

Well, if UK has Meeks, Patterson and Wall next year, it's really hard to screw that up...
