CHAMPAIGN – Ron Turner didn't need to look at the game tape to see why his Illinois football team lost Saturday. He knew the answer watching Iowa in the second half at Kinnick Stadium.
"It wasn't because we turned the ball over a bunch or made some stupid mistakes," Turner said Sunday. "They're a better football team than us. It was evident yesterday."
IOWA CITY, Iowa – With all eyes on Iowa City senior Tim Dwight, Davenport sophomore Tony Collins returned two mid-game punts for exactly 100 yards against Illinois on Saturday.

Late in the first half of Saturday's game with Iowa, the Illinois linebacker dove at the Hawkeyes' star running back. The only problem was the play had been whistled dead. Clark's extra contact brought a late-hit penalty against Illinois.
IOWA CITY, Iowa – The quarterback scrambled left and started looking for help.
He found a safe spot and started waving his buddies down the field. In an instant, the quarterback saw his man, wide open at the 10.
Zip. The ball left his hand and a moment later found the intended target. Ten yards later, the receiver reached the end zone.
