Alexis Burke visits this weekend

Forward Alexis Burke of Bainbridge, Ga., is expected to make her official visit to Illinois this weekend.

Burke (5-foot-11) reportedly has Illinois among her final five schools, which also include Rutgers, Oklahoma, Florida and Kentucky. Burke has taken an unofficial visit to the UI.

Here's the HoopGurlz evaluation of Burke. She is ranked 50th nationally by its evaluators.

Illinois has one oral commitment so far -- T.F. North guard Centrese McGee. If you include McGee, the Illini have three scholarships available for the 2010-2011 season. It's believed the Illini would like to sign two players in November (McGee plus one other), leaving a couple scholarships open for the spring signing period and, potentially, into the fall of 2010. That would allow the UI to balance the numbers in each class to a better degree.
