Jay Simpson commits to Purdue

Champaign Central sophomore Jay Simpson, a 6-foot-7 forward, committed to Purdue, according to Illinois Wolves AAU director Mike Mullins. Simpson received the scholarship offer this weekend after a visit to the West Lafayette, Ind., campus. Simpson had interest from Illinois and Ohio State but had no other offers.
