It’s great to be back to normal (at least work wise) after last week. Since I had a few days off, my Monday has been busier than normal, so I will make this kind of quick. First of all, here are the updated prediction standings. Last week, Illinois beat Penn State 77-67, and Indiana 72-70. Here’s how things look after 13 games in.

Looking ahead to Illinois @ Iowa...
ILLINOIS 73 IOWA 64
Iowa is bad, and when I say bad, I mean not very good. This is a team that lost to Texas-San Antonio by double digits, lost to Wichita State by double digits, and lost to Duquesne. They only beat Drake by four points, and Rayvonte Rice had been on the Bulldogs team this year instead of next, Iowa might have lost that game too.
At the same time, Illinois isn’t really looking all that good either. They can’t seem to get any consistency (outside of McCamey), and in return they can’t put together a nice winning streak. Despite that, they have proven of late that they can beat the lesser teams. Granted it hasn’t been pretty, but they have won. Iowa is definitely a lesser team. Even though it’s on the road, I expect Illinois to make it three in a row. Afterwards, lets hope things begin to click as a really tough stretch of games are just around the corner.
What do you guys think will happen Wednesday night? Will the kids step up on the road, or will they fall flat in defeat. Go ahead and predict below.

Some of you already know this, but last Wednesday I was in a car accident. A car lost control on the ice and slide right in front of me, giving my no choice but to hit it. I’m fortunate to be doing fine, as my car is a “total loss”. Also, the other person involved in the crash is doing fine. As nasty of a collision as it was, we’re both lucky to be okay. All I can say is always wear your seatbelt, and thank goodness for air bags. Also, be smart when driving in hazardous conditions. When it snows, you can’t drive 55 or 65. Don’t let the sloppy driving conditions sneak up on you. I know that I will now be more aware of my surroundings when driving. Hopefully you all will do the same.
ILL- 82 IOWA 68
I almost went with Iowa actually in this game, they are playing better as of late, and we might be focused on the massive game and situation that comes on saturday.
