That was awesome. The three games prior weren’t the greatest for our Illini, but yesterday was awesome. Mike Davis looked good in reaching another double double. Mike Tisdale was able to stay on the floor, and Demetri McCamey was able to get to the free throw line seven times. All of these things are positive signs that the Illini have put their worst games behind them.
Another great thing about yesterday’s win is it now puts us at 19 wins on the year, one win away from that 20 win mark that looks good to the committee that picks the tournament teams. It also puts us at 7-4 in the conference, with road games coming up against Northwestern and Indiana. I’m not saying that these two upcoming games are going to be easy, but if the Illini play well, they can find themselves sitting with a 9-4 conference record.
