China rosters... for Harrington, Keller, Legion

UI teammates Dominique Keller and Alex Legion are preparing for their trip to China. The team departs May 23 and is scheduled to return June 4, provided the earth doesn't tremble like the last time Illinois players toured China.

In Legion's case, coaches think it's a good opportunity to gain valuable playing time, and they want him to play as much as possible before his junior season. Legion told me yesterday two of his goals next season are to earn a starting spot and "contribute as much as possible."

UI director of basketball operations Sean Harrington will coach the team, which departs May 23 and returns June 4. Here's the list of the players, courtesy Mr. Harrington, expected to join the Illini.

Ali Farokhmanesh, Northern Iowa
Kwadzo Ahelegbe, Northern Iowa
Travis Ware, no college
Paul Carter, Minnesota
